YELLOW CARD

Yellow card is a danish health insurance card which is needed for a long-term stay in Denmark. Without it, it is not possible to apply for Nem ID and none of your health costs would be covered by the state.

You will get the yellow card automatically when you apply for CPR: The card will arrive in your mailbox so make sure that your address and full name is clearly written on it. It should come between 2-4 weeks. If it doesn't arrive after 4 weeks, contact Citizen Center Service. If you don't contact them within 6 months, a fee will be charged
