If you have been accepted by an educational institution in Denmark to study in a programme, you can as an EU citizen, apply for a registration certificate for students.
When living in Denmark you will need the danish CPR-number, and to get this you will need the residence permit. The EU residence permit and CPR-number, gives you rights to residence and work, danish language classes and public benefits.
To apply for the EU residence permit, you firstly need to book a meeting in person, at one of SIRI“s branch offices in Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg or Aabenraa.
Before starting the whole application form, it would be a good idea to gather the necessary documents:
Your original passport and/or your national ID card
An accurate passport-size photo
A completed copy of application from OD1
Documentation of your grounds for residence as a student
As documentation of your grounds for residence as a student, you can submit the following:
Letter of acceptance from the Danish educational institution or another form of documentation of final acceptance at an educational institution
Declaration of sufficient funds
Declaration of study activity
